After worked as a graphic designer in the creativity department of a publicity agency in Mexico City, creating work for global brands like P&G, Koleston, and Heinz. I thought I had made it

that this would be my life.

But I was wrong. The big city wasn’t for me, and neither was the fast-paced advertising world that contributed little positive to the planet. So I threw in the towel on corporate design and began exploring the world.

In 2017, in Guadalajara, Mexico, a good friend (who later became my business partner) introduced me to woodworking. We started by making pieces for friends and family, and eventually created woodwork for the government of Guadalajara.

Seven years later, I got married in California and decided to continue the business on my own. I began again, working for an incredible master woodworker in Grass Valley, where I learned about woods, finishes, suppliers, and techniques. A year later, with the support of my husband, I finally built my own shop at home.

For me, woodworking is the perfect combination of design, precision, the colors of nature, and a useful, productive way to create valuable work for others.
